The heart is the motor that drives the entire human body. And, as well as the engine of cars, it can start to "flounder". First, it is expressed in the appearance of extraneous sounds and interruptions in work, and then completely can stop.
One of the symptoms of the onset of heart disease is tachycardia, and it requires certain treatment.
Signs of tachycardia in women
Tachycardia is a violation of the rhythm of the heart, characterized by an increase in the number of beats per minute (over 90 times).
You can determine this by listening to the chest with a stethoscope and counting the heartbeats. This state is accompanied by:
- general weakness;
- dizziness with a pre-fainting condition;
- repeated loss of consciousness;
- nausea;
- the appearance of a feeling of lack of air;
- shortness of breath ;
- darkening in the eyes;
- pain in the heart;
- increased pulsation of veins on the neck;
- increased feelings of anxiety.
Tachycardia is physiological and pathological.
The physiological disturbance of the rhythm of the heart is a natural phenomenon that occurs:
- after a heavy load;
- as a result of stress and experience;
- after drinking tea, coffee, alcohol or medicine;
- when the temperature rises;
- with a rapid change in the position of the body.
Pathological tachycardia is a consequence of having a person:
- problems in the organs of the cardiovascular system (arrhythmia, ischemic disease, myocarditis, endocarditis, heart failure, heart disease or cardiosclerosis);
- prolonged fever;
- severe alcohol poisoning,
- disorders in the thyroid gland (diabetes mellitus or pheochromocytoma);
- a nervous breakdown.
Treatment of symptoms of tachycardia with medications
Having found out the listed signs, it is necessary to make an electrocardiogram to define or determine type of a tachycardia:
- ventricular;
- supraventricular (supraventricular);
- sinusoidal.
The type of tachycardia depends on which part of the heart the epicenter of discoordination of organ impulses is located.
If after the examination of the body symptoms of pathological tachycardia (ventricular and supraventricular) were found, then in the treatment it will be necessary to use tablets, and if it is physiological (sinus), then it is enough to change the way of life.
Symptoms and treatment of sinus tachycardia
A distinctive feature of this type of tachycardia is a gradual increase in the number of heartbeats per minute (up to about 120 strokes) while maintaining the correct rhythm of the sinus node.
As a rule, treatment consists of the following measures:
- Full rest - the interruption of work as you get tired, a strong and calm sleep.
- Increased outdoor walks (especially the air of the forest is especially good).
- Avoidance of stressful situations.
- Refusal from bad habits - smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, using narcotic drugs.
- Classes of physiotherapy exercises (the load for exercises should be determined by the doctor).
- Change in diet - the exclusion of fatty foods, caffeine-containing foods, and the consumption of easily digestible food.
When treating the symptoms of sinus tachycardia, you can use folk remedies for regulating the activity of the heart and the nervous system. Namely:
- oat juice;
- Green tea with fruits of hawthorn, dogrose and motherwort;
- decoction from the root of valerian;
- a mixture of lemon, dried apricots, nuts, raisins with honey;
- soothing infusions and decoctions of various herbs.
Ventricular and supraventricular tachycardia - symptoms and treatment
Such tachycardias, most often, have more pronounced general symptoms of this disease. They start and stop suddenly, seizures can last for different periods of time
After the onset of a malaise, the patient should call an ambulance and go to hospital for treatment. Before the arrival of doctors it is necessary:
- Provide access to fresh air.
- Put a cool compress on your chest.
- You can give Validol, Corvalol or Valocordin.
Even a minor malaise can be a symptom of a serious illness, so if you have any suspicious symptoms, it's better to see a doctor right away and do the necessary examinations.
