The first signs of skin aging

Sooner or later the woman's age necessarily makes itself felt not only by the increased number of chronic diseases and fatigue, but also by changes in the skin condition. In order to avoid premature aging in time and keep youth for a longer period, it is necessary to notice signs of wilt as early as possible and try to eliminate them.

Why does aging take place?

The fact is that the skin of any person consists of three (basic) layers.

The lower level, fatty tissue, provides protection of underlying muscles, gives the face a roundness and soft, smooth features. Over time, this layer becomes thinner, which leads to a visual sagging of the skin.

The dermis, for the most part, consists of a specific connective tissue - elastin fibers and collagen. At a young age, they are constantly updated, thereby maintaining the elasticity of the skin. Over time, the metabolic processes are greatly slowed, so the development of these substances, unfortunately, becomes insufficient to preserve the skin in its original form.

Epidermis, the upper layer of the skin, performs protective functions, so its cells regenerate faster than others. But with age, this process is suspended, the epidermis thickens significantly, which leads to the appearance of irregularities, a change in the shade of the skin.

When does aging begin?

There is an opinion that the first signs of age appear after 25 years, but this is not entirely true. Much depends heavily on the genetic background, the way of life of a person and his habits. Therefore, some people have skin aging at 18 years of age, while others look very young at the age of 30. In addition, a significant role in this case is the care of yourself and cosmetics for daily use.

Signs of skin aging

In time to observe the approaching age can be by several main factors:

  1. Dryness, thinning. Due to the fact that the subcutaneous fat layer of the cellulose ceases to be updated, the cells do not receive a sufficient amount of moisture, which leads to the appearance of peeling, especially in the forehead and nose, dry skin, including the skin of the lips.
  2. Change the hue. Young skin, as a rule, has an even color with a healthy blush. Thickening of the epidermis provokes appearance of pigment spots , yellowing and grayness of the skin.
  3. Excess of skin around the eyes. It is worth noting that, in fact, the folds that appear are not superfluous tissues. They simply stopped being toned due to a lack of elastin and collagen, as well as a reduction in the thickness of the fat layer. This leads to a noticeable sagging of the skin of the eyelids, lowering them down.
  4. Puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. Slowdown of metabolic processes does not allow to remove all accumulated fluid during sleep, so after waking up, so-called bags under the eyes of a bluish hue are observed.
  5. Nasolabial fold. At a young age, it is noticeable only with a broad smile, but with the onset of old age, the fold is visible even in a state of rest. At the same corners of the lips a little down.
  6. Vascular reticulum. Thinning of the skin leads to the fact that all small vessels become closer to the surface of the epidermis, especially the cheek zone and the area near the wings of the nose.
  7. Wrinkles in the corners of the eyes. Just like the crease near the lips, they remain even after the person ceases to smile, and in the course of time acquire a greater depth.
  8. Change the shape and size of the lips. With age, lips become thinner. They seem to stretch in width, the distance between the nose and the border of the upper lip increases. In addition, the skin is wrinkled slightly, small creases appear on it, there is a constant dryness.
