Three-key switch

With the current level of development of lighting control systems, it is not surprising that all new devices with higher levels of ergonomics and economy appear. Using the three-key switch allows you to control three groups of lighting devices from one point in the room. It is convenient and, moreover, contributes to saving power consumption.

Advantages of three-key light switches

Advantages of using one three-circuit device consist in an aesthetic appearance, less labor during the laying of cables, the need to gouge in the wall only one recess for mounting the switch box.

Such devices are usually used to control light in rooms with complex configurations, as well as for long corridors. Sometimes a three-key pass-through switch is installed to control the lighting of several rooms from a single point. These rooms can be a corridor, a bathroom and a toilet .

Due to the fact that the three-key switch is operated more intensively, its design is more reliable, due to which it is possible to achieve an average lifetime of at least 10 years.

For easy operation in the dark, three-key switches with illumination are produced. Thanks to the backlight, you can easily find a switch on the wall and quickly turn on the light where you need it at the moment.

Connection of an overhead three-key switch

In essence, the connection of a three-key switch does not differ much from the connection of a single- or dual-key device. One power cable is connected to the input of the switch, and all cables from the lighting devices are connected, respectively, to the output channels (contacts of the terminal block).

The difference is only in the number of contacts of switching groups. In this case, there will be three.

Installation of the same mechanism of the switch in the sub-socket is made with the aid of a caliper fixed with screws or spacer legs. And when the mechanism of the switch is securely fastened, a decorative frame fastened on the latches is placed on top of it.

If you do not have the experience of connecting outlets and switches, you better entrust this matter to specialists. Today, there are many companies that offer electrical equipment in addition to the services of masters for connecting and setting up purchased devices, including switches.
