St. Valentine's Day is a holiday that came to our country not so long ago, but has already gained immense popularity, especially among young people. In Western countries, to this day produce a huge number of different valentines made their most diverse materials. But the most common, in the tradition that has developed over two centuries, are postcards made of cardboard or cardboard in the form of hearts.

Of course, you can buy a ready-made valentine in the store, but it's much more pleasant to get Valentine's on this holiday with your own hands made of paper or other materials.

How to make a valentine paper?

Making valentines with your own hands from paper is not as difficult as it might seem at first glance, even if your practice in handicrafts is limited to the experience of a kindergarten or lessons in an elementary school. For this we need:

  1. First, we cut out the basis of our cardboard card. This should be a square or a rectangle, which is then bent in half. At once prepare a template a heart from simple white paper and slightly circle it with a pencil on the face of the future valentine.
  2. Now we need to carefully cut the circled heart. To do this, make a vertical fold on the card only in the stencil area, as shown in the figure.
  3. Carefully cut out the heart. For convenience, the folding point can be fixed with a clip or clip
  4. Take a sheet of plain or patterned paper and cut out a rectangle matching the face of the postcard
  5. Glue a paper rectangle inside the postcard so that in place of the carved heart there was a patterned piece of paper, and from inside the postcard - monophonic.
  6. Take a piece of braid or lace and decorate a postcard with a piece of double-sided scotch. So, your original and delicate valentine made of paper is ready!

3D hearts made of paper

In order to make an original volumetric heart of paper, we need a bright paper in different colors on both sides and scissors. You can use paper for children's creativity or scrapbooking paper. You can also take the usual color, only in this case the hearts will be monochromatic.

  1. Take a square sheet of paper, fold it in half and once again in half. Thus, we will have the lines of the middle. Unbend the sheet.
  2. Take the left edge of the sheet and bend it to the middle inside. Then take the right edge and bend also to the middle outwards, as shown in the picture.
  3. Then, to schedule new lines, bend and unbend the middle of the sheet to the top and bottom. Bend lines can not be ironed, we just need to plan a place for the next action.
  4. Now bend and unbend a quarter of the top and bottom half, as shown in the picture.
  5. We take the scissors and make small incisions in the middle from the top and bottom of the sheet to the planned lines
  6. Bend the corners from above and from below, as shown in the picture. You should get four sharp "tops"
  7. Bend the sharp tops of each corner
  8. Fold the sheet in half
  9. Bend inside the lower corners. Smoothing and getting a heart!

Such voluminous hearts made of paper will become an original gift for the Day of all lovers, and they can decorate the room where a table for a romantic dinner will be laid.

Make fluffy hearts from paper with your own hands

The original fluffy heart made by the method of facing, it will not take you much time! You will need:

  1. We cut out the base for our cardboard heart and lubricate it with PVA glue or a moment
  2. We cut the corrugated paper or napkin into squares approximately 2х2 cm
  3. Take a piece of red paper, lightly wrap the end of the toothpick and stick the middle of the square into our base
  4. Continue row after row, from edge to center, until the whole heart becomes bulky. To make it beautiful, you need to glue the pieces of paper as tightly as possible to each other and not allow lumens.

For larger designs, a foam base can be used, and instead of a toothpick, a pointed wooden stick or an old rod from the handle.

When the entire surface is full, your fluffy heart is ready! On the reverse side, you can write a declaration of love.
