Labeznik vyazolistny - perennial herbaceous plant with a branchy creeping rhizome, high stalk and small white-yellow flowers, with a pronounced fragrant honey aroma. It grows mainly in wet wetlands. For use in medicinal purposes it is collected in early summer, during the flowering period. The knotweed varnish has a lot of useful properties and is widely used as an official pharmacopeia, and in folk medicine.
Therapeutic properties of the mendicant
For medicinal purposes, the grass (leaves and stems) of the knot-bearing mallin and its roots are taken most often, and flowers are less common. Decoctions and infusions from the mendicant are applied:
- for colds with fever;
- with diarrhea of various origin (including dysentery);
- with pain in the stomach ;
- pain in the joints caused by rheumatism, arthritis, gout (inside in the form of broths, and externally in the form of compresses based on alcohol tincture);
- as a decongestant;
- as an antihypertensive;
- as an anticonvulsant;
- As a sedative for neuroses and with problems with sleep;
- when treating intercostal neuralgia and neuritis of the facial nerve;
- as a fortifying agent (thanks to the content of vitamin C);
- for syringing with inflammatory diseases of the vagina and for oral administration (in the form of a decoction) with infertility;
- as an external remedy for purulent wounds and ulcers, as well as for herpes (in the form of a decoction for washing and medicinal ointments on the basis of a medicinal mucus);
- for treatment and acceleration of healing of burns and cuts;
- with insect bites (in the form of lotions);
- powder from flowers plants are used to combat diaper rash and excessive sweating of the feet.
Useful properties and contraindications of an alluvial mallin
The plant contains a large amount of vitamin C, tannins, flavonoids, chalcones, traces of coumarins. In addition, in the grass of the medicinal garden there are essential oils (mainly in flowers), katahenes, phenolcarbonic (ellagic and coffee) acids, salicylic aldehyde, camphor, fatty acids. The roots contain more tannic substances and antioxidants, starch. Tavolga vyazolistnaya has pronounced diaphoretic, diuretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Has astringent, as well as anthelmintic effect.
Because of the pronounced diuretic effect and the drop in blood pressure associated with it, despite all the medicinal properties, the use of an allusive mulberry is contraindicated in hypotension and requires considerable caution when the kidney function is impaired. In addition, the plant is contraindicated when:
- propensity to constipation;
- reduced blood clotting and thrombocytopathy (due to the content of salicylls, which, among other things, contribute to the dilution of blood and can provoke bleeding);
- at an asthma (concerns to potential allergens and can provoke an attack of asthma);
- with exacerbation of gastritis and peptic ulcer;
- during pregnancy.
To ingest dry food (grass or root) is usually brewed at the rate of 1 tablespoon per 0.5 liters of water and drink in small doses (1 / 2-2 tablespoons, up to 4 times a day).
When brewing tea from the flowers of the mallow, 2 teaspoons are usually taken for a glass of boiling water, but for a long time they do not insist (they brew like ordinary tea). The maximum permissible dose is not more than 10 g of dry raw materials per day. It should be noted that although this plant is not too toxic, but in large doses provokes nausea and vomiting, and with a significant overdose can lead to serious poisoning.
