Abscess of skin

Skin abscess is an inflammatory disease of the skin following infection, more often bacterial infection. At the site of damage to the skin, a painful formation is formed in the form of a cavity filled with pus. This cavity is enclosed in a capsule, which is a kind of barrier for penetrating the infection deep into healthy tissues.

Treatment of skin abscess

Treatment of the abscess of the skin is a surgical operation. In this case, the capsule is opened, then washed with an antiseptic solution and drained. After the operation, the patient is prescribed a course of antibiotics. Superficial abscesses of the skin are opened and treated in the polyclinic. Abscesses that occur under the skin are called subcutaneous. Very often, their appearance is associated with a large number of intramuscular injections.

Multiple Skin Abscesses

Sometimes the cause of multiple abscesses of the skin may be increased sweating or complication of common diseases. The disease is characterized by the appearance of small subcutaneous formations filled with purulent contents. Multiple abscesses are subject to autopsy with further use of antibiotic therapy .

Abscess of facial skin
