The dosage of cefazolin with novocaine is in the proportion of 250 ml or 500 ml of cefazolin based on 2 ml of novocaine. Novocaine should not be more than 0.5% concentration. Cefazolin - side effects

From the side of the circulatory system, there may be problems in the form of leukopenia, a decrease in the number of platelets, neutropenia, thrombocytosis, hemolytic anemia. There were also rare cases of transient increase in the level of aminotransferase of the liver. If the patient has problems with the kidneys, nephrotoxicity may occur. Nausea, vomiting, signs of inflammation of the mucous membrane of the colon, etc. can also occur. With prolonged treatment, dysbacteriosis or superinfections may occur. Injections that are administered intramuscularly can be painful. When injected intravenously, phlebitis may occur. This drug can not be used for children under 8 years old, since they are contraindicated in novocaine.
