Brooches have regained popularity. Famous fashion historian Alexander Vasilyev advises not to limit himself to the classical version and wear brooches on bags, skirts, jackets and even on wedding bouquets.
Multifunctionality distinguishes brooches from the skin: they are ideally combined not only with a light fabric of blouses, but also with dense skin or drape. The main thing is to choose the right brooch from the skin with your own hands.
Brooch made of leather: master class
For the brooch you will need:
- leather (suitable as a thin glove, and more dense);
- glue "super moment" or silicate (transparent);
- scissors or clerical knife;
- dense cardboard;
- pin;
- fur (optional);
- beads;
- candle (fire for fusing the contour of the product).
How to make a brooch made of leather?
We will analyze how to make a brooch made of leather with a floral element, since such brooches are especially popular in the coming season:
- We prepare sketches of flowers: usual "children's" flowers from five petals, each more than another. All you need is three "flowers". A larger amount will only weight the brooch.
Also for the brooch you need three elements in the form of leaves, also of different sizes. - Apply to the skin and cut out the elements. On the leaves we cut not only the shape, but also the veins.
- Each element above the flame of a candle needs to be burned, so that the contours of the skin are refined and leave no traces of "fimbria". It is better to keep the items with tweezers, as the skin, when heated, can burn your hands.
- With the leaves have a little trick. It is necessary to burn every vein, otherwise the product will look sloppy.
- The internal sections of veins are melted like this: fold the leaf so that the incision is "open" with the edge, hold both sides of the sheet in twisted position with tweezers, and melt the edge. If you simply hold the leaf over the fire, the skin in the center will tighten and wrinkle, and the fimbria of the incision will remain visible.
- Now we are preparing the basis for the brooch. For the basis you need a tight cardboard. We cut out two circles from cardboard and pasted them with skin or cloth.
- To insert a pin, two small incisions are made in the cardboard - for the head of the pin and its "tail". Then the circles just stick together with each other, and the base of the pin hides inside.
- Now back to the flowers. On the core of the two largest flowers, the glue is applied, to which we attach the cropped fur from the fur so that the villi look out beyond the edges of the flower.
- Each element will not look very aesthetic, but in the finished product everything will look very nice.
- It remains to connect all the elements (flowers and leaves) with each other with the most ordinary glue and decorate the brooch with beads.
- If desired, you can attach additional elements to the brooch, for example, several hanging elements from the same beads.
- We connect all the elements together and cover the brooch with varnish.
- As a result, we got a very beautiful and spectacular brooch.
