Cautery of the ovaries

Thanks to the appearance of a laparoscopy , many gynecological operations can now be performed with minimal complications and a quick recovery period. When conservative treatment with such an ovarian disease as polycystosis, does not give positive dynamics, resort to surgical intervention. Such a diagnosis means the presence on the surface of the ovary multiple cystic formations.

Such surgical manipulation as cauterization of the ovaries, or moxibustion in simple words, allows to minimize the trauma of the organ, which can not be said for resection , which is used for the same purpose.

What is ovarian cautery?

The operation is appointed when a dense layer consisting of non-stalked follicles forms on the surface of the ovaries, which interferes with the normal functioning of the ovary and is an obstacle to fertilization.

For manipulation, a special electrode is used, which makes incisions on the follicle membrane, their depth must be sufficient to make the cavity burst and leakage of the liquid contained therein. The same is done with all the other "outgrowths", while the ovary significantly decreases in size.

At operation use the general or common narcosis and do not do or make cuts. Special equipment is introduced into the abdominal cavity through three small holes that heal very quickly.

Cautery of the ovaries and pregnancy

The moxibustion operation is a good stimulation for the resumption of ovulation. Often pregnancy after cauterization of the ovaries occurs already in the next cycle. Depending on the accompanying gynecological problems, additional medication is prescribed before the operation, which together leads to long-awaited fertilization.
