Circular facelift

Every woman at a certain stage of life notices that her face undergoes undesirable changes. With age, the contours of the lower jaw and cheekbones, the lowering of the cheeks, the eyelids, the wrinkles appear and the nasolabial folds become pronounced. To restore youth and significantly adjust the appearance helps circular face lifting or rhytidectomy. The procedure is a plastic (endoscopic) operation, which allows one to correct all the deficiencies in one session.

Is it possible to have a circular facelift without surgery?

Of course, surgical intervention frightens many, moreover, to it there is an impressive list of contraindications. Therefore, alternative non-surgical methods of correction of the face oval were developed:

The initial effect of these procedures is identical to classical rhytidectomy, but it persists not so long - after surgical intervention, the aging of the skin slows down for 10-12 years.

How is the facelift performed?

The procedure is as follows:

  1. Upper face lift (forehead and eyebrows). Small (no more than 3 cm) incisions are made in the scalp. Through them, the surgeon gets access to the muscles and subcutaneous tissue to remove excess and sagging dermis.
  2. Tightening of the middle part of the face (cheeks, lower eyelids). Eliminate nasolabial folds, overhanging excess skin in the zone of the upper lip, correcting the tip of the nose. Surgical access is through miniature incisions in the natural fold of the lower eyelid.
  3. Lifting the lower part of the face (chin, neck, cheekbones). The contouring, removal of the superfluous dermis in the specified areas, excision of "flecks" is made. For access, the surgeon makes incisions behind and in front of the auricles.

The whole operation lasts from 4 to 8 hours, depending on the age of the patient and the initial condition of her skin.

Surgical intervention is usually performed under local anesthesia or partial sedation, but in some cases general anesthesia is permissible.

Rehabilitation after a circular face lift

The recovery period lasts about 15-20 days.

In the first 2-3 days it is necessary to be in the hospital of the clinic, visiting the doctor for examination and bandaging. In addition, after a circular facelift, there are severe swelling, redness, and bruising. They disappear in about 7-10 days.

After 5-6 days, the stitches are removed, after another 48 hours it is allowed to wash the head and use decorative cosmetics.

Complete rehabilitation of the skin occurs after 1.5-2 months, but you can objectively evaluate the results only after six months.
