In the past few decades, the number of diseases of the female breast has increased rapidly. The classification of breast diseases includes two groups: inflammatory and tumor. Both those are well treated in the early stages.
Inflammatory diseases
These include mastitis and mastopathy. Often, inflammation in the chest occurs when breastfeeding, when the nipples are cracks. Often this leads to the emergence of acute mastitis. The causes of mastitis can also be stagnant milk, incomplete emptying of the gland during feeding and non-compliance with hygiene in the process of feeding.
Mastopathy - dyshormonal disease of the mammary glands, which is expressed in the appearance in them of benign neoplasms - seals or cysts. They appear when the balance of the glandular and connective tissues is broken, and their abnormal growth begins. Mastopathy is a precancerous disease.
Symptoms of inflammatory diseases of the breast:
- pain in the chest ;
- heat;
- the appearance of seals or neoplasms, redness, swelling;
- heaviness and uncomfortable sensations in the chest;
- purulent, bloody discharge from the nipples.
Tumor diseases
Fibroadenoma is a benign tumor, like papilloma and cyst, as well as other types of fibrous formations.
Breast cancer is given the first place in terms of the number of cancer diseases in women. A malignant tumor can be triggered:
- hereditary predisposition;
- taking hormonal medications with contraception;
- the emergence of epithelial atypical hyperplasia;
- the influence of radiation;
- diseases of the thyroid gland;
- if the woman did not become pregnant and did not give birth.
Signs of oncology of the breast:
- occurrence of seals;
- change of the skin of the gland - edema, "lemon crust", redness, retraction;
- allocation;
- drawing in or bleeding nipples.
The most important thing in the prevention of diseases of the mammary glands is a healthy lifestyle, mobility, proper nutrition, hygiene, absence of stress. In clothes it is necessary to refuse linen, strongly squeezing a breast. Regularly it is necessary to undergo preventive examinations.
