Veterinary drug Emitsidin by its structure is an analogue of vitamin B6. It has well-pronounced antioxidant properties. The drug binds free radicals and thereby protects the cell from destruction.
Instructions for Emicidin for dogs
Indications for the appointment of Emitsidin to dogs are chronic pathologies, accompanied by oxygen deficiency. This happens with pulmonary and cardiovascular insufficiency, inflammatory processes, with various wounds, burns and frostbite, as well as with care of aging animals. Also, the drug is used for anxiety and increased aggressiveness of animals, with their training and transportation.
The drug Emitsidin is prescribed to dogs with preventive and curative purposes. It can be administered both subcutaneously, and intramuscularly, and intravenously (drip) in a dosage of 10 kg of animal weight - 1-4 ml of a 2.5% solution of Emicidin. The injection is done 1 or 2 times a day for 10-15 days. Dogs over the age of seven in the spring and fall apply this medication once a day for 10-30 days at a rate of 10 kg of animal weight 1 ml of a 2.5% solution.
Assign Emitsidin and in the form of capsules depending on the weight of the animal: large dogs for 2 capsules (50 mg) 2 times for 10 days, dogs of medium size - 1 capsule (50 mg) 2 times a day. Dogs of small breeds should take Emitsidin at a dose of not more than 15 mg.
The duration of the course of treatment and dosage of the drug Emitsidin can only be prescribed by a veterinarian after examination of the animal and diagnosis.
There are no side effects with proper medication. In some sensitive animals, allergic reactions may occur.
Contraindication to the reception of Emitsidin is hypersensitivity to it. In parallel with the use of this drug, it is possible to use other means of symptomatic therapy.
