These are good eye drops for moisturizing, but from inflammation caused by infection - for example, in dacryocystitis, dacryoadenitis or canaliculitis, they are not effective, because these diseases often occur due to infection of the eye.
For the removal of inflammation in these cases, combined drops that have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect are used:
- Dexa-Gentamicin;
- Tebridex;
- Sofradex;
- Garazon;
- Maxitrol.
Eye drops from inflammation of the cornea
Keratitis - inflammation of the cornea, can be traumatic or infectious. However, in both cases antibiotic therapy should be used, with the only difference being that this method will be preventive in case of trauma, and in case of infectious lesions it will be therapeutic.
In addition to general antibiotic treatment, the following drops are used for infectious keratitis :
- Sulfacil sodium;
- Norsulfazole.
To restore the work of the eye, drops with vitamins are also used - Citral.
Drops for the removal of allergic inflammation of the eyes
For the removal of inflammation caused by allergies, it is often used corticosteroid drops based on prednisolone.
Specific anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory agent in the form of eye drops are:

- Vizin;
- Naphthysine.
These same agents have a vasoconstrictive effect, and therefore long-term use is not recommended.
