Garden stove

If you often come to your summer residence for a few days and like to cook food on open fire, then you regularly had to use a portable brazier, but this is not entirely convenient, so it is better to install a garden oven. What it is, and what kinds of it are, we will consider in this article.

A garden stove is a structure made mostly of brick, on which you can fry products on open fire and bake them, as in a conventional oven . The main difference of this design is the removal of smoke upward through the chimney.

In the complete set most often there is a pallet for ash, a grate, a spit-grill and an additional grill for fish. It is also called a garden oven-BBQ or barbecue, because it replaces them.

Types of garden ovens

There are many different types of furnaces for a garden:

There are stationary garden ovens and mobile (mobile). The first option is considered more reliable, and the second - it is recommended to take, if set permanently at this place is not possible.

They can be made not only from bricks, but also from cast iron, stone (whole and chipped "talcochloride").

Even with the external similarity of the furnace itself, the configuration of additional elements may be different. Very convenient if the chimney has shelves (front and sides). They can be placed during cooking and seasoning.

Often, a dressing table, a woodpile, cupboards for dishes and a sink are attached to the oven. This makes the cooking process more comfortable, because you do not have to go somewhere else.

You can install garden ovens in a street kitchen in a gazebo or in an open area (providing protection from precipitation), but not in any case not in a residential area.
