Vegetable garden on Mitlajderu

This method is based on two technologies: growing vegetables in narrow beds and in boxes. Both technologies have one principle, which is the optimal balanced nutrition of plants and actions aimed at their harmonious development.

Mithlayer beds

The beds of Mitlajder are standard: their length is about 9 m, and the width is always 45 cm. It is to this size that the necessary amount of fertilizers will be calculated in the future. Between the beds there should be a distance about twice as wide.

Do not regret the area between plantings, as in the future it will play a significant role. Between the beds will be located whips zucchini or pumpkins. If you do, for example, planting potatoes on Mitlajderu, then under the plant tops all the passes will be completely shaded. And the correct illumination in this method of growing plays an important role. So you can safely make distances up to a meter.

High beds on Mitlajderu give the chance to receive a plentiful crop, but will have to work seriously.

  1. First, the area must be thoroughly cleaned of weeds . The soil is dug with forks and all the roots of perennials are removed.
  2. The cleaned area is leveled until a flat area without bumps or pits is obtained. This will help to further align the beds.
  3. Next, we mark the beds on Mitlajderu. Angle pegs drive from the ends of the site and stretch the cord between them. This is the end of the beds. Next, using the marker mark the entire area. The marker is a 135 cm long rack (the length of the bed is 45 cm plus the length of the opening of 90 cm). Thus, the rest of the pegs are driven in and completely makes the markings.
  4. In the spring, it will be necessary to simply pull the cord between the pegs to designate the beds.

The Mitlider Garden: basic principles

Now consider the main points of growing vegetables by this method. Let's start with what is best to use: seeds or seedlings. It is absolutely certain that the seedling method has a number of advantages. All plants will initially be stronger, since there will be no pests in the soil, due to the optimal temperature, the growth will be rapid and the harvest abundant.

That's why it's worth trying to grow seedlings in Mitlajder's greenhouse. What is special about it? The frame of this greenhouse is very strong, because even strong winds will not harm plants. The construction is collapsible and you can always transfer the greenhouse to another place. The dimensions of the structure are large, which makes it possible to create a stable microclimate.

The use of fertilizers by Mitlajder also has its own peculiarities. There are two main mixtures used in this growing technique:

  1. Mixture 1 consists of 5 kg of dolomite flour and 40 g of boric acid.
  2. Mixture 2 consists of 6-7 gc of a standard fertilizer mixture, 2 0 g of boric acid and 5 g of molybdic acid.

Both mixtures are used before planting. Then fertilize the soil immediately after planting the seedlings: 225 grams of ammonium nitrate must be added to all narrow beds along Mitlajder. After full sprouting or three days after planting the seedlings, mix 2 is added again.

In the method of planting along Mitlajder, an important role is assigned to the location of the beds themselves. For a horizontal section, it is preferable to arrange the beds from north to south. With a small slope, it is better to arrange the rows horizontally - across. If the site is located at a large angle, you will have to make horizontal terraces.

Watering the garden on Mitlajderu should be in the morning and not too abundant. It is quite enough to water the plants from the watering can every morning. This is very important when growing roots. For example, when potatoes are planted on Mitlajder, the drying of the soil can not be tolerated at all. A little bit warm water from the tank is considered ideal.
