Growing sprouts on toilet paper

Today many summer residents try to grow seedlings on their own. If for this you have little room on the windowsills, you can use one of the methods of landless growing seedlings. In another way, this method of growing seedlings is called Moscow and is that seeds should be sown on the most basic toilet paper.

How to grow seedlings in Moscow?

To grow seedlings in the Moscow way, we will need toilet paper, a plastic glass, and polyethylene film.

Cut a strip of polyethylene of the same width as toilet paper. The length of the strips should be about 50 cm. You can make one roll or several, everything will depend on how many seeds you need to germinate.

On the film strip, put the same length of toilet paper tape. Sprinkle it with water from the spray gun. At a distance of 1 cm from the edge of the strip, spread the seeds 3-4 cm apart, which is convenient with tweezers. On top of stacking more toilet paper, which is also slightly moistened with water, and then another layer of polyethylene. We roll the resulting multilayer strip into a loose roll, trying to ensure that the edges of all layers are not displaced.

We fix the roll with an elastic band, it is possible to attach a note with the indication of the cultivar to it. Put the roll in a glass with seeds up and pour water into it about 1/4 of the capacity. Put the glass in a plastic bag with ventilation holes, which is placed in a bright and warm place. As the evaporation of water in the cup should be topped up.

Since our seedlings are grown without soil, it does not receive nutrients. Therefore, with the appearance of the first sprouts, it is necessary to carry out top dressing with liquid humic fertilizers. The second time you need to make a fertilizer when opening the leaves. Remember that the fertilizer concentration should be half that recommended in the instructions.

Dissect the seedlings. To do this, roll the roll and remove the top layer of the film. Carefully cut a piece of paper with a seedling, trying not to damage its roots. If some of the seeds have not yet sprouted, you can leave them on paper and roll them back into a glass.

Cut off strips with seedlings planted in pots or cassettes with earth . Watering the seedlings should be minimal. Grow sprouts, as usual.

In this way, you can grow seedlings of almost all vegetable crops and even flowers. The Moscow way will save her from the disease with a black leg and save space on the windowsill.
