How does the fetus develop in the womb?

When a sperm fertilizes an egg, an embryo is formed in the womb of the future mother, which has a certain set of chromosomes inherited from its parents. Already at this stage all the genetic information about your future son or daughter is determined - skin color, eye, sex, facial features and more.

A few days later the fetus descends into the uterus and attaches to its wall, and after a while the heart begins to beat and the first rudiments of the future nervous system are formed. When the age of the baby from conception is only a month, during the ultrasound it can already discern legs, hands and fingers on them, eyes, ears, as well as muscles and spine.

Within the next month the baby develops in the womb as quickly as before. His brain already controls the work of the heart and muscles, the liver begins to produce blood cells. Kroha already makes her first movements, however, my mother will not be able to feel it for a long time.

By three months the baby has already laid genitals and a vestibular apparatus is being formed, thanks to which the baby begins to orient in space. He already sees and hears and can be frightened of bright light and sharp sounds.

At about 16 weeks, or 4 months of pregnancy, the placenta begins to function fully, through which the baby contacts his mother. It is she who provides the fetus with oxygen and the necessary nutrients. On the child's head appear first hair, eyebrows and eyelashes.

About 5 months, the future mother, finally, can feel the stirring of her baby. The growth of crumbs already reaches 30 centimeters, and on the fingers of the upper and lower extremities, it has marigolds. By the age of 6 months, the baby's lungs ripen, so he can survive in case of premature birth. In addition, he begins to function sweat and fat glands, and on the face you can already distinguish the first mimic manifestations.

28 weeks of pregnancy is characterized by a full development of all sensory organs of the future baby. He carries out the first independent respiratory movements, and the skin becomes denser and becomes more and more like the skin of a baby just born. After 8 months, the child receives antibodies from his mother, who can protect him from certain diseases immediately after birth. Its mass during this period is about 2 kg, and the height is about 40 cm.

Finally, by the 9th month the baby in most cases takes the correct position in the abdomen of the mother - head down. Thin hairs, or lanugos, covering his body, are slowly erased. About 38 weeks, his head falls into the small pelvis of a pregnant woman, which indicates the approach of delivery. Very soon the baby will be born and will be able to meet with his mother.

How does twins develop in the womb of a future mother?

Contrary to popular belief, twins develop in the womb in the same way as one child. The only difference is that their parameters are usually a little less, and the formation of some organs may end a little later than one child. This is due to the fact that all the nutrients that they receive from the mother, the twins are divided into two and, in addition, they can be cramped in her uterus.
