Candied fruit is a pleasant snack for tea or strong coffee, which can be made from almost any fruit, berries and vegetables: kiwi, apples, aubergines, cherries and even pumpkins. Just about the last variety of candied fruits and I would like to talk in this article.

There are several ways to make candied candied fruits, we'll mention all of them in this article, but this recipe, the first and the main one on our list, is classic. Ready-made pumpkin candied fruits are soft and viscous, perfectly shade the taste of desserts.

Lemons are cleaned from seeds and crushed in a blender, add them to pumpkin juice. Boil the mixture for 3-4 minutes, filter and pour this pumpkin solution. We put the container with the pumpkin on the fire and cook until the syrup thickens, not forgetting to stir it. Pumpkin candies are separated from the syrup and dried in the oven with a fan (at 40 degrees) or, if there is none, leave to dry in the sun. Cooled pumpkin candied peeled powdered sugar and served at the table.

Correct dried candied pumpkin candies have a texture of chewing marmalade, do not stick to your hands and teeth.

Spicy pumpkin candied fruits

Add spices and already fragrant sweet snack will help your favorite spices. Such candied fruits are good both in themselves and as a supplement to various desserts and pastries.

Pumpkin is peeled from the peel and seeds, mine and cut into cubes. Cook sugar syrup from sugar and 700 ml of water, when it starts to boil, lay spices and pieces of pumpkin. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes, then cool it. Repeat the procedure until the pieces of pumpkin are hardened and become transparent (this is about 5-6 times).

We take the candied fruits, let them drain the syrup, and spread them on waxed paper. Scrub pumpkin candies at room temperature or in the oven, and then sprinkle with starch or powdered sugar and use as directed.

Candied sugar candies without sugar - recipe

It would seem that the preparation of candied fruits without sugar is impossible a priori, but a sweet snack can easily be caramelized with honey, or fructose, or even both, as we did in this recipe.

Before making candied fruits from a pumpkin, cubes of a vegetable should be softened, boiling together with cinnamon on low heat. Soft vegetable slices are dried with a paper towel. In the pot, pour 2 cups of water, add honey and fructose, wait for the mixture to boil, and then lay a soft pumpkin. Boil the future candied fruits in syrup for 15-20 minutes, remove the pan from the fire and give the pumpkin to stand in it for another day. At the end of the time, separate the pumpkin slices from the syrup and dry for several days at room temperature on wax paper, or at 40 degrees in a ventilated oven.
