How many years can children work?

Very often teenagers, who are beginning to miss pocket money , allocated by their parents, want to get a job and earn their own. Of course, such workers are not very much in demand today in the labor market, but it is quite possible to find a suitable place for them.

So, a teenage girl or boy can give out flyers on the streets, participate in fashion shows and all kinds of performances, wash cars, harvest berries or vegetables and much, much more. Meanwhile, such work in most cases is not documented by any documents, so there is a situation in which child labor is exploited illegally.

In this article we will tell you about how many years children can work officially without violating labor legislation, and what conditions must be observed at the same time.

From what age can a child work in Ukraine and Russia?

The labor legislation in both states in everything that concerns this issue is absolutely identical. So, the law clearly establishes the age at which children can work officially, with the signing of an employment contract and all other necessary documents. In all cases, the minimum age for legal registration of a child for work is 14 years.

Meanwhile, if from the age of 16 a teenager has the right to work at any time of the day and should no longer ask permission from anyone, then the situation with fourteen-year-old children is somewhat different. Officially, these guys can work only in the period from 16 to 20 pm, that is, at a time that does not interfere with the educational process. In addition, they are required to establish a reduced working day, and the total duration of the working week for them should not exceed 12 hours. Finally, a child between the ages of 14 and 16 to Official employment is required to provide written consent to the parents.

For sixteen-year-olds, there is also a requirement to provide a reduced working day. The total length of the working week can not exceed 17.5 hours, if the teenager is still studying at day time in the school or any other educational institution, and 35 hours in all other situations.

Regardless of how many years a child is employed, he can work only under light working conditions that do not harm his health.
