Inkatara

In the valley of the river Chunga Mayu in Bolivia , the largest archaeological site called Inkatara has recently emerged. In 2012, the researchers found a fortress here, information about which was not available in any authoritative source. According to the assumptions of scientists, the age of the citadel is at least one thousand years old.

Past and present fortresses

The discovery was the occasion for numerous assumptions and guesses. The ruins of the fortress, despite the years and the whims of nature, were perfectly preserved. Studying them, archeologists were perplexed and often argued about what was the cause. In addition, the project of the building and its decoration was carried out in a manner not characteristic of any of the civilizations that we know, who ever inhabited the Andes. However, the find, which surprised archaeologists, did not come as a surprise to the natives who heard many legends about the existence of the fortress.

Today, scientists still do not have enough information to tell about the culture that gave birth to this beautiful structure. However, there are suggestions that the citadel became the brainchild of Inca and Tiwanaku civilization. The name of the fortress was the river Chunga Mayu flowing in the region, the valley of which the Indians considered the Sacred.
