Mask for sleep with your own hands

It's nice to wake up in the morning, well rested and rested. But not always it turns out, because in any way it does not fall asleep the night before. You may be disturbed by too bright moonlight or a night light left for the child, or maybe the first sun rays do not allow you to sleep an hour or two. Also, there are cases when you can take a nap in the transport or in the daytime in the fresh air, as do summer residents like to do. In such situations, an eye mask for sleep will be irreplaceable.

Today, stores provide a wide range of products of this type - from simple in form, monochrome masks, to motley multicolored with intricate outlines. But it's not so difficult to make original masks for sleep with your own hands.

How to make a mask for sleep?

First, prepare everything you need so that during work you do not have to be distracted in search of the right part. Basically the mask consists of three layers of fabric. The inner layer, which will be in contact with the skin of the face, must be made of a natural soft material. This can be flannel, cotton or chintz.

For the inner liner, which is responsible for the softness of the whole product, so you will feel comfortable while using the mask, usually use sintepon. You can use it in one or more layers, according to your desire. The choice of material for the outside of the mask is not at all important from the point of view of comfort, so in this matter you can be guided purely by your own preferences for any colors, patterns, patterns, etc. Give vent to your imagination. And in this case we use a satin fabric covered with a layer of lace.

So, hold a master class, how to sew a mask for sleep.

1. We have already chosen three kinds of material (cotton, sintepon, satin) and lace for decor. We will prepare another: a sewing machine, a sheet of paper, scissors, pins, threads, a slanting beak and an elastic band.

2. For us to get a smooth and symmetrical mask for sleep, the pattern must first be drawn on paper.

Now cut it out, apply it to the fabric and outline it. Fabric fold in the following order: cotton, sintepon, satin, lace.

3. We fix the layers with pins and stitch.

4. Crop all excess tissue.

5. At the edge of the mask we sew the oblique bake.

6. We make an elastic band. To do this, measure 80cm of bake and fold it in half, then sew.

7. In the resulting braid insert the elastic (about 30cm) and sew on the mask.

8. Now we decorate with bows from the same bake and a beautiful gentle mask for sleep is ready.
