Osteochondrosis of the thoracic spine - treatment
Osteochondrosis is a long-term progressive disease requiring constant attention. It is still unknown how to completely cure the osteochondrosis of the thoracic region for good. Existing methods consist in constant maintenance of a normal condition of the patient and elimination of a painful syndrome.
The following medical measures are carried out:
- Special massage for osteochondrosis of the thoracic region;
- manual therapy;
- acupuncture of the thoracic spine;
- use of pain medication;
- spinal traction;
- Physiotherapy with osteochondrosis of the thoracic department;
- reception of vitamins of group B;
- reflexology;
- use of anti-inflammatory drugs.
In addition to the above methods, the therapeutic regimen must necessarily include therapeutic gymnastics for osteochondrosis of the thoracic region.

Moderate exercise is recommended for strengthening the muscles of the back and, accordingly, reducing the load on the spine. In addition, exercise therapy in the osteochondrosis of the thoracic region gradually eliminates the pain syndrome. Also the dosed physical exercises perform the following functions:
- decompression of nerve endings of the spinal column;
- development of a stereotype of correct posture;
- giving flexibility to the spine;
- improvement of blood circulation;
- normalization of metabolism of intervertebral discs.
Treatment of osteochondrosis of the thoracic spine involves such exercises:
1. "Boat":
- the initial position - lying on the stomach, on the floor;
- firmly lean against the floor with your hands;
- slowly bend back and lock the position for a few seconds.
2. Scissors:
- the starting position - lying on the back, on the floor;
- simultaneously bring together the tips of the fingers and toes;
- lock the position for at least 10 seconds.
Exercises for osteochondrosis of the thoracic region should be performed regularly for 5 minutes, preferably every day.
