Ozokerite - home use

Physiotherapy procedures include warming up using various natural materials. One of the best options for this is ozocerite - the use of this substance at home is as effective as when visiting sessions in the hospital. The use of "mountain wax" does not require special skills, only some adaptations will be needed.

What do you need to treat ozocerite at home?

Before performing the procedures directly, the following items must be prepared:

In the pharmacy you should buy cosmetic ozocerite and paraffin. Also available are ready-mixes of these materials. It is important that the ratio of ingredients is the same.

Indications for ozokerite applications and compresses

The main effect of the procedures under consideration is thermal. But "mountain wax" additionally has a lymphatic drainage effect. This is due to the fact that the ozocerite is compressed during drying, providing a kind of massage of the skin. In addition, this substance, being an oil product, is rich in valuable micro- and macro-elements, resins and oils. When in contact with the skin, these compounds are absorbed into the bloodstream and produce a favorable systemic effect on the activity of internal organs and systems.

Most often, the use of ozokerite at home is done with cough and chronic respiratory illnesses.

Other indications:

Also, the use of "mountain wax" stimulates regenerative processes in the skin, blood circulation, contributes to the normalization of its tone. Therefore, ozocerite is often used for cosmetic purposes. The procedures with its use make the skin smooth and more elastic, elastic, allow to stop irritation, to avoid dryness and peeling.

Instructions for the use of ozocerite and paraffin in the home

There are 3 main ways to conduct thermal procedures with "mountain wax", but before considering them, you need to properly prepare the raw materials.

The recipe for the mixture

Ingredients:

Preparation and use

In the largest pan, pour the water and put on a plate, bring to a boil. Break the ozocerite and paraffin in pieces, in a 1: 1 ratio, put them in a smaller saucepan. The number of components can be changed depending on the size of the treated zones. Construct a "bath" from the pots, placing one in the other. Melt the raw material, stirring occasionally with a stick.

When ozocerite is ready for the procedures, you can start warming up.

Method 1 - compress:

  1. Fold in 6-8 layers of gauze, sew the edges.
  2. Dip the resulting cut into a saucepan, soak it with an ozocerite mixture, squeeze it and put it on the oilcloth for cooling.
  3. Make another gauze pad a bit smaller than the first one. Also soak it with ozocerite and squeeze it.
  4. Measure the temperature of the first cut. If it reaches 45-50 degrees, apply a compress to the damaged area.
  5. The temperature of the second gasket should be about 60-70 degrees, it is applied over the first piece of gauze.

Cover the compress with waxed paper, a sheet and a warm blanket. Take off after 40-60 minutes.

Method 2 - napkin:

  1. Saturate the waffle towel with ozocerite.
  2. Squeeze the fabric, let it cool on the oilcloth to 37 degrees.
  3. Place the napkin on the area to be treated.

The duration of warming up and the subsequent order of actions is the same as with the use of a compress.

Method 3 - application:

  1. Pour an oilcloth in a cuvette or a baking tray with high sides.
  2. Pour liquid ozocerite into the container so that the thickness of its layer is about 3 cm.
  3. Wait until the mixture has cooled to a temperature of 37-38 degrees.
  4. Remove the resulting cake, along with the oilcloth, to put it on the damaged area.

Wrap up the applique, as described in the previous paragraphs. The duration of the procedure is 40-60 minutes.

The course of ozocerite therapy is 10-25 sessions, which must be done once in 2 days.
