If you are tired of ordinary pillows , they can easily be transformed, or sew decorative cushions of any shape. I offer a master class on sewing a butterfly cushion, which will perfectly decorate the children's room.
We sew a pillow-butterfly
For this we need:
- the cloth;
- sewing machine;
- thread;
- pattern;
- filler;
- wide satin ribbon;
- scissors;
- needles for chipping.
We will be using the next pattern to sew the pillow-butterfly with our own hands. Print it on the printer on an A3 size sheet, then the cushion will be of medium size. But you can draw a simple pattern of such a pillow arbitrarily by hand, folding a sheet of paper in half to make the figure symmetrical.
Performance:
- Fold the fabric twice face to face. Attach a pattern and circle. Grind with needles so that the fabric "does not go" and sew on the contour on the sewing machine. Leave not a threaded place to turn.
- Cut off excess fabric with a small allowance. Where necessary, make incisions so that the seams are not wrinkled, and turn out the butterfly.
- Through the hole, fill it with any available filler (I took the holofiber).
- Gently manually sew the place of filling with a hidden seam.
- Take a piece of satin ribbon, cut the edges obliquely and, if necessary, set fire to the lighter so that they do not fray. Tie the butterfly with a satin ribbon and tie a bow.
- Decorative butterfly-pillow is ready. At will, you can sew decorative elements of appliqué, that is, "decorate" the wings. But in this case the fabric itself is bright enough and I will leave it as it is. Such a butterfly pillow will be a wonderful addition to the interior of the children's room or a nice gift to loved ones. In addition, it is convenient to take with them on trips and put under your neck.
