Any hobby, and especially needlework, is a lesson for the soul. But it's so nice when your own creations, to which you give a piece of heart and a lot of time, not only make it more comfortable and decorate the house, but also perform useful functions. For example, roses from corrugated paper can decorate an interior decor (for example, as elements of a topiary ) or a gift to a loved one. And roses from the satin ribbons, which we propose to manufacture, will be an excellent addition to the elastic band or simple hair clip, decoration for gift wrapping or the main element of the wall panel. These wonderful, beautiful and delicate flowers do not require material costs, because you can make a rose from a satin ribbon from the remnants left from previous crafts, which are sure to be found in the house. Shall we proceed?
We will need:
- satin ribbon pink or red and green (width 5 centimeters);
- scissors;
- lighter;
- ruler;
- a needle with threads;
- glue gun.
- So, cut five segments of 8 centimeters and the same lengths of 13 centimeters of pink satin ribbon. From a green tape - two pieces in length on 15 centimeters. Then gently squish the edges of the slices of these segments with a conventional lighter. Be careful - the tape melts very quickly.
- Now from the harvested pieces make the rose petals. To do this, the corners should be folded to the middle and fastened with a pin for convenience. Then on the bottom edge make a stitch.
- Without making a knot, pull the thread as tightly as possible, and then fix it with a knot. You can also attach an additional stitch.
- From the following segments make the same petals, but the size of 6-8 of them should be large. This is done simply - do not cut the edges of the segments closely (you need two pins). Similarly, secure them with a stitch.
- After this, pull off the edge of your petal and fasten it with a thread. Such blanks for the future rose bud of satin ribbon should you get.
- When all the petals are ready, boldly grab the rose from the wide satin ribbon, folding them in the sequence given in the photo. You have to start with the smallest pieces.
- Next, assemble the bulk rose from the satin ribbon with the help of an adhesive gun. That's what should eventually turn out.
- Finally, from the back of the satin rose, glue a piece of tape around the circle so that all the sections are hidden. Done!

Technique of weaving
If you have cuts of a narrow satin ribbon, the weaving of roses from them will look better than from the wide ones. To create one bud you need only 25 centimeters narrow (2-3 centimeters) tape. First, the bud base is formed, and clockwise, then turns are made, bending with each new turn the outer upper edge of the tape. So do until all the tape is over. Then, using a thread or a glue-gun in the base of the bud, fix the tape, because without it it will just bloom.
