Sangria with champagne - recipe

Sangria is a traditional Spanish alcoholic drink, which is prepared in an authentic manner based on red wine, liqueur and fruit slices. Sangria is used not only to raise the mood, but also as a soft drink, which you can enjoy on a hot Spanish afternoon.

We will move away from the classic recipe and prepare sangria with champagne.

How to cook sangria with champagne?

Cherry clear of stems and bones, cut in half. Blueberries and raspberries are left whole, and the strawberries are cut into 4 parts. Nectarine is purified from the stone and cut into slices. Fold the berries with nectarine in a jug, pour nectar (or apricot juice) and put in the fridge for 1 hour. As soon as the berries cool, fill them with brandy and cold champagne. Serve immediately after cooking, if desired, decorating with mint leaves.

Sangria with champagne and liqueur

In the jar we mix brandy, orange liqueur (for example, Cointreau) and sugar. Fill the mixture with lime juice, orange, and mix until the sugar dissolves. We add apples and nectarine to the jug. Fill the fruit with champagne or prosecco, and add "Sprite" or any other soda with a lemon flavor. We serve the drink strongly chilled, decorating with mint leaves and frozen grapes.

Sangria with champagne and strawberries

Strawberries are cleaned from the stems and cut into quarters. Half of the berries are put in a pitcher with mint leaves, and half of it is scraped with watermelon slices in a blender. Dilute the berry puree with watermelon juice (you can replace it with aloe juice, which is sold in supermarkets or strawberry juice with a small amount of lemon) and pour the mixture into the jug. We pour cold champagne and immediately serve, as delicious sangria is ice sangria.
