Why does my face swell after sleeping?

- excessive fluid intake before bedtime;
- abuse of salty and spicy food, causing fluid accumulation in tissues;

Morning swelling of the face, especially around the eyes, may be a manifestation of kidney problems. The swelling on the face is soft to the touch, watery, easily moving. Additional symptoms in this case are increased blood pressure and the presence of peripheral edema. Chronic renal failure is also manifested by a bronze-lemon shade of the skin.
