It is important to accustom a child to the traditions that accompany one or another holiday. Because this is the story of our life, our people, our religion. To celebrate Palm Sunday with the child, you can make a twig of willows from improvised materials: paper, cotton wool, cotton buds. You probably already mastered the creation of applications of pussy willow . And now we suggest you make a dove craft. Such an artwork of willow, made by the child with his own hands, will be especially valuable for him and can act as a gift to close people.

It is necessary to prepare the materials:

• corrugated paper of brown color;
• scissors;
• cotton wool;
• white paper napkins.

1. We do first the buds of pussy-willow. Cut the paper napkins into small rectangles measuring 3 by 4 cm.
2. We take cotton wool. We put a small piece of cotton wool on the center of the resulting rectangle and twist it.
3. The lower part is tightened more tightly.
4. So we create several kidney buds.
5. We take the wire, hold the "willow bud" near it and begin to twist the corrugated paper around the wire.
6. Similarly, scroll a few more wires, attaching to them "buds of willows." The handicraft is ready.

How to make a willow with your own hands made of paper?

You can offer the child to make a willow tree with his own hands using corrugated paper. Additionally you will need:

• sheet of cardboard;
• cotton wheels;
• millet;
• scissors;
• glue.

1. We make a palm tree. We take a brown sheet of corrugated paper measuring 11 by 16 cm.
2. We twist the paper in different directions. This is the trunk of a tree.
3. Similarly, we make branches of the trunk, but thinner and slightly smaller in size.
4. We paste on the cardboard the stem of pussy-willow and twigs, pressing a little from above for better fixation.
5. We make palm flowers. We take wadded disks and cut out of them small ovals. Each part is divided into two halves, the fluffy part should be on the upper side.
6. Along each branch, add a drop of glue and glue the existing ovals.
7. Smooth the whole craft with your hand. Verba is ready.

Also, willow branches can be made using cotton buds, tinted with acrylic paints on the ends. To create an artwork you will additionally need:

• pliers;
• acrylic paints;
• glue;
• A real twig from a tree with thin branches.

1. We take cotton swabs, Tinted with acrylic brown paint. We let it dry.
2. The pliers cut off the heads themselves from the stick.
3. We take a twig. We drip a small droplet of glue on the tip of the branch and glue our head of the cotton swab.

In addition to extensive work, the child can be offered to create an applique. It is necessary to prepare for it:

• colored paper;
• glue;
• paper napkins,
• scissors;
• acrylic paints.

1. We take brown colored paper, draw a contour of willow branches on it, cut it out.
2. We glue with glue and glue on the colored background.
3. We take paper napkins, tear off each small piece, twist it. Thus, it is necessary to make a lot of lumps. It will be the willow buds.
4. We drip a droplet of glue on the branches of pussy-willow and from the top glue the lumps of paper napkins.
5. In the end, acrylic paints can draw clouds. The application is ready.

The work on the creation of pussy-willow branches with our own hands is simple, does not require long time costs and special adaptations. However, such joint creativity with the child will allow him to feel more deeply the Feast of Palm Sunday and to treat it with all seriousness.
