Even the most modern plasma can not convey the mood that is created when watching a movie on a large tap with a projector. A home theater is something very unusual and not yet so common in apartments. But the owners of houses can already boast of an image projector with a wall-mounted screen. However, you need to understand that the whole effect is possible provided the screen is properly selected and the sound is adjusted.
Question of selecting a wallboard for the projector
The choice of screen type depends on the room and its intended use. If you decide to select only a part of the room under the movie viewing area, mobile models will suit you. When it's a separate room, you can afford a stationary option. So, what are these two types of screen?
- The stationary version is quite durable and reliable. There are two types of this fabric: stretch and roll. By the way, the roll option may well become part of the common room with a dedicated area under the movie in it. Rolled wall-mounted screens of the projector in non-working form will be wound in a compact package, which, if desired, can always be decorated and made invisible in the interior of the room. There are modern models of a wall-mounted screen for an electric projector, which are more popular. You do not have to manually unfold the canvas, because for this there is a special device that resembles a desk lamp switch. When you need to bring up the wall-mounted screen for the projector with the electric drive, you push the lever down. Switching up raises the canvas, in the middle position it freezes. So you can adjust the position of the screen relative to the floor. A simpler version is a wall-to-ceiling screen of the projector with a spring mechanism, which you lower manually, and lift with a spring.
- Mobile screens are a completely different matter. They are much more modest in terms of size, but you can install them anywhere. Most often preference is given to models on a tripod, since they weigh a little, and at the same time they are established in the shortest possible time. But the suspension models remain relevant.
Dimensions of the projector's wallboard
If you want to get the same effect from watching a movie on the big screen, you need to take a responsible approach to choosing the size of the latter. Manufacturers pay attention to the consumer when buying a projector image with a wall screen for the following points:
- between the viewer picture should be a distance equal to the width of the canvas (in other sources this distance is equal to twice the height of the screen);
- the height of the canvas itself is one-sixth of the distance on which the last spectator will be located from the screen (when you plan to arrange several rows at once with seats for spectators);
- as far as the distance from the floor to the bottom edge of the canvas, 1.2 m is considered comfortable for the viewer.
And in the end, touch on the matter of the material, or rather cover the wallboard for the projector. The saturation of colors and the quality of the image as a whole will directly depend on the type of coverage.
To get the brightest and most saturated color, we buy a canvas with a so-called beaded spraying. This is a real glass crumb, due to which you can arrange the screen as close to the viewer as possible. This coating perfectly reflects the light rays, which gives a vivid picture.
If you buy a screen with a gray shade of the canvas, then all the colors will be contrast. This canvas is especially good for transmitting dark and black shades, without darkening the light ones. But the universal solution and today is a white canvas with a matte surface, where all the characteristics in the middle range.
