Medicinal product Bobotik is intended for use in children suffering from impaired function of the gastrointestinal tract, flatulence. It is an opaque liquid of white color, which has a pronounced fruit smell. With prolonged storage, a small deposit is allowed, which after thorough shaking forms an emulsion.
Indications
The main indications for the use of Bobotik are:
- increased gassing in the gastrointestinal tract (colic, flatulence, constipation);
- preparation for various studies of organs located in the abdominal cavity or small pelvis (gastroscopy, radiography, duodenoscopy and others).
How does it work?
The active substance that is part of the Bobotik is simethicone . It is this substance, by reducing the surface tension, localized at the interface, prevents rapid formation and contributes to the destruction of gas bubbles in the intestine. The gases released can be absorbed by the walls of the intestine or can be removed, thanks to intestinal peristalsis.
Since the active ingredient drops Bobotik chemically inert, the drug does not affect the enzymes, as well as microorganisms, which are found in large quantities in the gastrointestinal tract.
Application
According to the instructions of the drug Bobotik, its use for newborns is prohibited. As you know, the period of the newborn lasts 28 days, after which it is possible to use the medication.
Is applied inside, after eating. Before giving drops to the child, shake the bottle well until a uniform emulsion is obtained. In order to accurately dose the drug, the bottle is recommended to hold strictly vertically.
Like any drug, Bobotik should be given only after reading the instructions:
- the drug is used in children, starting from 28 days of life and older;
- up to 2 years, only 32 drops of the drug per day are recommended, that is, 8 drops 4 times a day;
- if the baby is from 2 to 6 years - appoint 14 drops 4 times a day;
- for those children, whose age is already more than 6 years - 16 drops also 4 times a day.
To use the drug in newborn babies it is allowed to mix it with a small amount of milk or boiled water. Taking the medication is stopped immediately after the disappearance of symptoms of flatulence .
Side effect
For a long time, no side effects were noted, except for a few allergic reactions. Also, due to the fact that the main active substance of this drug is not absorbed into the digestive tract, an overdose is impossible. However, do not deviate from the dosages indicated in the instructions.
Application features
The composition of the drug is absolutely no sugar, so it can be used in people with diabetes. When taking medicine, it is not recommended to drink carbonated drinks.
