Every year in China, in the province of Yulin in the first month of the summer is an eerie event of bloodthirsty. It is called the "Festival of Canine Meat", or "Yulin Dog Meat Festival". For several days at this barbaric banquet, several dozen of domestic pets (dogs and cats) are killed and eaten.
Of course, the organizers of the action claim that the process of killing animals occurs humanely, but numerous photo-reports and video from the scene confirm the opposite.
The non-governmental organization Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation is trying with all its might to stop this disgrace. Its participants prepared a protest petition and removed a shocking video about an eerie festival.

Humanity and humanity - non-empty sound?
Celebrities took part in the preparation of a brief but eloquent video, focused to draw attention to the horrors that occur every year in the southwest of China during the summer solstice (from June 21 to June 30).

Actors say that they are fully aware: for Asian residents, eating cats and dogs is the norm. The founder of Animal Hope & Wellness Foundation Mark Chin says:
"In China there is such a belief that if before the death the animal was greatly tormented, then its meat acquires special, healing properties. And even the taste of food is improved! "
