Christmas Star - crafts for the contest

Very often in kindergartens and schools, during the winter holidays, a contest of crafts for children on the New Year theme, and the article "Christmas Star" can become a worthy competitor at this event. It is a symbol of the birth of the son of God.

  1. It is necessary to cut colored strips of A4 colored paper, only 4 pieces, full length, 1 cm wide. Then bend them in the middle and for convenience cut off corners at the ends. Take all 4 bands and put them into each other, as in the picture. Then bend them in half and then push one into the other, tighten. There should be four equal squares. The common square must also be flat.
  2. Next, each strip is bent in turns. We unbend one strip from the top. Turn the product over, you should get the result, as in the picture.
  3. Bend to the right, at an angle of 90 ° C upper strip. We fold again, the same strip, but down. Fold the folded parts in half, one on top of the other to make a triangle.
  4. The end of the working strip is passed under another strip and tightened. If everything is correctly done, then the first sharp ray of the asterisk should be obtained. Next, do for each strip of paragraphs 4-7.
  5. Having finished the first row of rays, turn the product over. Next point, you need to twist the strips, as shown in the picture. And again we repeat for each strip items 4-7.
  6. After the end of the second row, the rays are not visible, they are covered with strips. We bend them from the product perpendicularly.
  7. Take the sharp tip of the strip and start it under the weave, and tighten. It is worth noting that the strip should turn around, but in no case turn over. This point is done with each ribbon.
  8. After that, one side of the star is ready. Then turn the product over and continue to form "horns", as in paragraph 11, finishing making a "Christmas star".
  9. Crop excess strips left and the star is ready. They can also be combined with each other, creating groups or constellations.
