Ciniya - planting and care

Bright colorful cynicism has long been well-liked in our region: they are decorated with flowerbeds in city parks and gardens near private houses. The popular name of these handsome men is majors, and they come from Central America. The official name of these flowers was in honor of Professor IG Tsinn, who brought them to European lands. There are many kinds of cynics, they are annual and perennial. The variety of colors (red, yellow, white, pink, lilac, purple) and sizes (the height of the zini varies from 15 to 120 cm, depending on the variety) make the cynical a welcome guest in any garden. The cynics bloom for a long time, pleasing the eye with bright lush colors, and for a long time keep the freshness cut off. They can be grown on garden plots, and in pots on the windowsill. The widest distribution for gardening was given to two annual species (cynical grace and narrow-leaved cynia), which became the ancestors of innumerable varieties of garden cynias. About the rules of planting and care for the cynics, we will tell in our article.

CINEMA: growing from seed

Cynia is a plant very, very thermophilic. It easily survives even in the most intense heat, in conditions of drought, but the slightest frost becomes destructive for it. Therefore, the best way to propagate cynia is to grow seedlings from seeds. Seeding of seedlings starts a few months before the expected flowering (optimally - for two or three). When do tsinii blossom? If you want to get a blossoming front garden in July, then sowing seeds on seedlings should be taken care of in April. Landing of zinnia in the ground in southern regions is produced in May, and flowering in this case begins in August. Whichever method of growing zinnia from seeds you choose: on seedlings or immediately in the open field, the seeds should be germinated before sowing. This is done this way: the seeds are laid on the cloth and moistened with a spray. Depending on the freshness of the seeds in a period of 2 to 10 days, they will germinate. All this time, the tissue must be moistened, but not poured. Sprouted seeds are planted in ordinary peat tablets or small pots filled with a mixture of chernozem and sand in a proportion of 2 to 1. When the cynia forms a small bush with two or three leaves, it is transplanted into the open ground. Transplanting of seedlings of cumin from pots to open ground is usually done in May, when the soil has already warmed up enough and one can not be afraid of night frosts. The distance between the adult plants should be at least 30-40 cm. The site for planting the zini should be chosen well-lit and protected from the wind. The soil on the site should be light and neutral, and organic fertilizers should be applied from autumn.

How to care for cynia?

Most of the hassle of cynicism is during landing. In nursing, this plant is very unpretentious. It easily tolerates extreme heat and drought, without requiring frequent watering. For a long flowering zini watering requires a rare, but abundant. Watering the cynical, it should be ensured that water does not get on the inflorescence, as they are from this rotting. After the rain, it is necessary to tear off the faded inflorescences, since this helps to increase the flowering period.

Diseases of Chin

Most often, chinens suffer from the spotting of leaves - the appearance on the leaves of brown round spots with a red border. The leaves dry and fall off. This occurs as a result of too frequent planting of cynical or excessive watering. Affected leaves must be severed, and if the disease has captured the entire plant - it will have to be destroyed. In addition, cynia is affected by powdery mildew (real and false), slugs and snails.
