Emotions and feelings of man

For us, the words "emotions" and "feelings" are practically synonymous with one concept - what we experience inside. But in fact, confusing emotions and feelings of a person is simply an indicator of illiteracy, because between these terms it is easy to draw a line.

What is the difference between feelings and emotions?

Clarification of the differences of feelings from emotions must begin with the definitions themselves. So, feelings are a personal reflection of a person's attitude to the environment. And emotions are an assessment of the situation. The ratio is long, and the estimate is short-lived. Hence the first difference is the validity period.

In the mode of expression, feelings and emotions also differ. We are always aware of our feelings and can give them a definition - love, hate, happiness, pride, envy, etc. But emotions we express more vague. When you say that you are now "boiling the brain", what do you feel? Irritation, anger, fatigue are all emotions.

Feelings are expressed through emotions. They are subject, but depend on what situation you are in. For example, the love (feeling) that you are experiencing towards your young man, at the moment of quarrel can be expressed in fury, anger, anger (emotion). Emotions are what's happening here and now. Feelings are something stable, ingrained. If feelings separate the object in a situation, then emotions illuminate the whole situation.

Emotions and feelings in men and women

The most interesting thing is that the kinds of manifestations of emotions and feelings have a sexual difference. The reason is that different sexes have a different set of basic feelings. So, women are characterized by stronger manifestations of sadness, fear, and men are more keenly expressing anger.

However, experts argue that the strength of emotions and feelings experienced does not have a sexual difference, there is only a differentiation in their manifestation. And everything, because from the birth of boys and girls are brought up to perform cardinally different social roles. Boys learn to suppress manifestations of fear and sadness, and women soften anger. And as for the last emotion, it is proved that up to 1 year from the moment of birth, anger in infants is manifested equally.
