The profession of a business coach has many attractive advantages: high wages (even if you provide business coach services within one company), constant self-development, interesting acquaintances and, of course, invaluable experience. It is not surprising that yesterday's graduates, people with higher education, and business sharks decide to "go on to become a business coach" and decide to move to another stage of development.
So, what does the business coach mean, and how are specialists trained in this direction.
Themes of trainings and the style of their conducting can be very different: trainings of increasing personal effectiveness, where you can prove yourself as a coach coach business (conducting trainings in the form of conversation), active sales trainings, trainings on work with clients, etc.
Preparation of business trainer
There are several options for getting education for future business trainers:
- do self-education. Such a step, as a rule, is done by experienced professionals, for example, in sales (a good business sales coach is always in demand), who were often asked to "pull up" young professionals. Thus, the career itself is pushing them to change their profile of activity;
- Find a mentor or become an assistant to a successful business coach. The first option will cost more, but it guarantees an individual approach, because with you, in fact, the personal business coach will work. If you arrange an assistant, you will be able to gain experience, however, you will need to systematize your knowledge to a greater extent. Of course, the quality of such education depends on the competence of the business coach you addressed;
- receive training in a specialized educational institution. This method gives you a systematic knowledge, and
most often in the form of training, that is, in the process in which you will have to work in the future. Training in the group allows you to more widely see possible options for dialogue between the coach and participants.
Even having received certain knowledge, be prepared for the fact that the specificity of the profession of a business coach (and coach) is the need for constant self-development. You will have to attend seminars, webinars, read relevant literature. And, of course, do not forget about the advice that usually gives start-up business coaches: start work only after signing the contract with the employer.
