History of Inhuashi
The island of Inkauasi in Bolivia was formed more than 10 thousand years ago. The large salt lake of Tauko dried up, and in its place two huge salt marshes were formed. One of them was named Uyuni , in its center grew a mountain of limestone rocks, corals and shells. The mountain was nicknamed by local residents as Inkauashi, which means "House Inca".
