One of the most effective insecticides today is the popular drug "Aktara". It is used to protect plants such as potato, pepper, eggplant and tomato from the Colorado potato beetle, as well as aphids (currants, cabbages), whiteflies, scabbards and thrips. "Aktara" is effective both when applied to the soil under the plant, and when sprayed.
The composition of the insecticide is a substance thiamethoxam - it gives a systemic effect, protecting your garden and garden crops from several pests.
There are two forms of release of this drug. The first - in the form of a liquid concentrated suspension, which should be diluted in water. The second - in the form of dry granules, which can be introduced into the soil.
Insecticide "Aktara" - instructions for use
The first step is to prepare the working solution, diluting the substance in water. First, the so-called mother liquor is prepared: dilute the contents of one packet of the drug in 1 liter of water. Then, in the tank of the sprayer, pour water on ΒΌ of its volume, add the required amount of mother liquor to the norm and with the help of clean water bring the total volume of liquid in the tank to 5 liters. The rate of consumption of the insecticide "Aktara" is (based on 10 liters of water):
- potato - 1.2 g;
- currant - 2 g;
- house flowers in pots, as well as flower crops growing in the open ground - 8 g.
Many newcomers are interested in whether it is possible to sprinkle garden trees, for example, apple trees, with the insecticide "Aktara". Of course, you can, because this drug is effective against scabbards, moth and aphids - the most formidable enemies of apple trees and other fruit trees!
It should be noted that it is desirable to carry out work on preparing the working solution in the open air.
Begin the treatment should be the appearance of the very first signs of attack pests. Do it preferably in calm weather, in the evening or in the morning. It is not recommended to spray plants if it is raining. Also, try not to let the liquid drift to neighboring crops.
