Nikitin's Methodology

The pedagogues Elena and Boris Nikitin developed several methods of early development of children. Among them, the most common are special development cubes. They are the usual size cubes, the faces of which are painted in different colors. Also in the set there are playing cards, according to which children are invited to collect this or that picture.

Systematically performed classes with Nikitin cubes contribute to the child's development of attention, imagination and the formation of spatial representations. During the game, the child learns to systematize, analyze and combine.

How to make cubes of Nikitin on your own?

A set of Nikitin cubes is sold in any children's store, but you can make it yourself. To do this, you need to download the Nikitin cube charts and the cards with the tasks. Then they need to be printed and pasted onto already folded carton sweeps of cubes. To ensure that the colors do not blur, the cubes should be wrapped with tape in the end.

Exercises with cubes of Nikitin

Before embarking on the exercises with the children, the teachers of Nikitin recommend following a set of rules:

  1. To select the tasks for the child is necessary, proceeding from the principle from simple to complex, giving at the very beginning of classes the easiest tasks.
  2. It is not necessary to force the exercises, the child should be interested in himself. If there is no interest, it is necessary to wait until it manifests itself or contribute to it.
  3. It is not necessary to exercise very often with a child exercises, their excess will lead to a long loss of interest in such a game.
  4. All tasks can be divided into three stages. In the first, the child collects a picture that is offered on a card or in a book. When a child learns how to easily cope with this task, he is invited to think about what shape the cubes can have.

The last and most difficult task for the child is the request to collect pictures and patterns, which are not in the book.

In all assignments, parents can also take part in helping the child. Do not perform the task for him, and parents should not give their own assessment of the actions of children.

Determine that the child has outgrown the game quite easily: the execution of tasks takes him less and less time, he copes with them without any apparent difficulties. With the same ease, the child who has mastered the game, collects images that he devises himself.
