Unusually at first glance, a brown bar of tar soap can often be found on the bathroom shelves, next to expensive skin care products and hair. Let's find out why.
The use of tar soap
Useful properties of tar soap are caused by an important ingredient - birch tar. To the mother of the tar, the birch, the Slavic peoples have always treated with special respect, knowing about its medicinal properties. Tar is an excellent antiseptic, and therefore it has long been used not only in medicine, but also in cosmetology. Medical soap has proven itself so that in its composition you will not find either synthetic fragrances or dyes - a warm, bitterish tar smell is a visiting card of soap.
- tar tar soap can be used for the face, as a deep cleansing, drying and healing agent. Acne, black dots, itchy skin - all these problems "do not like" birch tar. For treatment, it is often advised not just to wash with tar soap, but also apply a therapeutic mask. Mask from tar soap is simple and can be the final stage of cleansing the skin: just put a bar in your hands and apply a foam on your face. An important property of tar soap is that it promotes early regeneration of the skin, strengthening blood circulation;
- the use of tar soap helps to get rid of acne, not only on the face, but also on the back. In addition, tar has long been used to alleviate the symptoms of psoriasis. Tar soap is used for feet as a remedy for the fungus: regular washing is an excellent prevention, and if the problem already exists, cool baths with the addition of tar soap or applique from a soap solution will help to cope with it;
- tar soap is useful for scalp and hair washing, it perfectly removes dirt and helps to cope with the excessive fatness of the roots. The tar soap from dandruff has recommended itself, and also as a remedy for hair loss and growth.
A spoon of tar
Although in this case tar and determines the therapeutic properties of tar soap, like any medicine, this product has a number of drawbacks:
1. The first and, at times, the most decisive: the smell. The tar notes are rather caustic, and not always quickly eroded from the skin (although a long "train" is not at all necessary). If you belong to those "lucky ones", whose skin keeps a scent for a long time, or use tar soap for washing your head, then it is important to correctly shade tar tar. Spirits with spicy or woody notes will help to correct the aroma, in fact, in fact, tar sometimes enters the base of elite spirits, like a warm, leather note.
2. As there is not a great temptation to use tar tar soap (after all, it is a cheap and effective tool), it is important to understand that the fly in the tar is in a soap base. Since the human skin has a more acidic environment, the constant exposure to alkali may not have the best effect on the skin. How correctly to use tar soap:
- short courses (for the treatment of fungus, dandruff, hair loss);
- 2-3 times a week (if it comes to skin problems: acne and comedones);
- it is necessary to moisturize the skin, because, deprived of natural lubrication, it begins to produce sebum even more actively;
- after washing the head with tar soap - rinse hair with acidified water.
3. Separately it is necessary to say about liquid tar soap. Many women give him preference, because the bottle looks much more presentable than the brown bar, and the tar fragrance in the bathroom does not hang. However, if in the composition of ordinary soap you find only saponified oils and tar, then for the production of liquid soap aggressive surfactants are used, which can provoke even more irritation of the skin. After all, add expensive components to the product, which should be cheap no one will.
