Nursing Mother's Menu

The first months after the birth of the child are exactly the time when a young mother should watch her diet especially closely, when breastfeeding, the composition of the food is of particular importance for crumbs. That's why there is a need to create a special menu for the nursing mother.

What should be the ration of the nursing?

Any abnormalities in the menu for the nursing mother of a newborn child can lead to a lack of vitamins and trace elements, and also affect the overall condition of the baby. As in pregnancy, the mother must adhere to the same principles of healthy and balanced nutrition.

Thus, the menu of a nursing woman should be such that the amount of protein in the dishes consumed is not less than 2 g for each kilogram of weight, fat - 130 grams per day, and carbohydrates up to 500 g. The source of these are, first of all, fish or meat, which should be at least 200 g per day. Do not forget about the trace elements, the main of which are potassium and calcium. That is why, in the nursing mother's menu, with proper nutrition, especially after childbirth, milk and lactic products must necessarily be included. Therefore, the nursing mother is simply obliged to drink up to half a liter of milk per day, or to eat about 150 g of cottage cheese. Also a good source of the protein, so necessary in the menu of the nursing mother, is cheese and chicken eggs.

A full meal in the nursing mother's menu should include fruits that are so indispensable. On the day they can eat up to a kilogram. In this case, it is necessary to exclude from the menu citrus fruits, which have a high allergenicity. These products are the main source of vitamins. But sweets and flour products should be limited. If a woman can not eat some dishes without bread, then it's better to change wheat bread on rye bread.

Features of nutrition when breastfeeding

There is an incorrect statement that a lactating woman must constantly monitor the volume of the liquid being drunk, this fact allegedly has a direct effect on lactation . This is a misconception. The amount of milk produced depends entirely on the amount of the hormone prolactin in the body. Therefore, I do not want to drink through - it's not worth it. However, less is not necessary.

Any hot liquid that is drunk 15 minutes before feeding causes a rush of milk, i. E. the volume of it does not increase, but the baby becomes easier to suck his breast, and he is less nervous about it.

For proper nutrition, each lactating mother must make herself a menu for a week ahead. Today, there are many tables with a delicious menu for a nursing mother, where it is painted all by the day, which greatly facilitates the woman's task. So, a woman can choose one more favorite diet scheme, and follow it. The approximate menu of a nursing mother may look like this:
