After decontaminating the scissors or the pruner, cut the roots into several parts so that each one has two or three bulbs. After that, the sections should be treated with charcoal, which will help to protect the orchid from diseases. Then each new plant needs to be planted in a separate pot, sprinkled daily and occasionally watered until leaves or shoots appear.

If we talk about how to plant orchids in babies, then pay attention to the fact that this method of reproduction can be carried out only in dendrobium and phalaenopsis. It is they can have babies, that is, side shoots, which are small plants. Stimulating factors for the appearance of children are high indoor air temperatures and fertilizing with nitrogen fertilizers. If your orchid has a baby, start spraying it regularly for the appearance of roots. Then disinfect the knife and gently separate the side shoot from the main plant. As to how to plant an orchid with cuttings, this way of reproduction is considered difficult. It is suitable for monopodial species of orchids (vanilla, angrekum, vandopsis), in which the stem is pulled from the top of the growth point. For the propagation of cuttings, plants that are 2-3 years old are suitable. It is necessary to cut the stem 10-12 cm long at the lateral shoots or flowering stalk after flowering. It is important that at each cut off stalk there is a minimum of 2 knots. The stalk is put in a greenhouse on the surface of sand or soil, covered with moss, until it takes root.

Often used a method of planting orchids bulb. This part of the stem must be separated from the main stem of the plant with a knife or secateurs.
