Olivier with sausage - recipe

Salad "Olivier" has long secured the title of the New Year's dish. Without it, a festive table, even with an abundance of different delicacies, seems imperfect.

To date, Olive with sausage is considered a traditional recipe. This opinion was fixed even in the times of the Soviet era, when cooked sausage was much easier to buy than quality and fresh meat. But it was poultry meat that was the basis of the dish in the original French version.

Today's salad composition is far from the original, but its taste is no less interesting and will be popular, at least, as long as the Russian New Year traditions are alive.

We offer several variations of salad preparation with sausage and share some tricks of preparation for obtaining the ideal taste of the dish.

Recipe for salad "Olivier" with boiled sausage and fresh cucumber

Potato tubers, carrots and chicken eggs washing properly and boil until cooked in different pots. Cooked vegetables and eggs are cooled, cleaned and cut into cubes. Similarly we shred sausage, fresh cucumbers and lettuce, which, if necessary, we will fill it with hot water for five minutes to get rid of unnecessary bitterness and sharpness.

And now the promised cunning, which many housewives resort to. It is believed that if you mix the ingredients one by one, then a miracle happens and the taste of the salad becomes more gentle and pleasant. We will use this advice also. Mix the ingredients from the hard components to the softer ones. First we combine sausage and cucumber and mix, then add the carrots and mix again. Now we lay onions, after mixing potatoes, eggs, peas and mayonnaise. Add salt to taste and finally stir. Here is a simple trick that allows you to improve the taste of the ready-made "Olivier" salad.

Often when cooking dishes with fresh cucumbers add Antonov apples to make some sour taste. It turns out to be equally interesting.

Recipe for a delicious salad "Olivier" with smoked sausage

Ingredients:

Boil until cooked and cool pre-washed tubers of potatoes, carrots and eggs. If, together with smoked sausage, we will use chicken, then boil it.

Then vegetables, eggs and sausages are cleaned and shredded small cubes. Similarly, we cut pickled cucumbers, pre-peeled onions and boiled chicken or boiled sausage.

Mix the ingredients one by one in a large bowl or other suitable container. In the end, we add canned peas, preliminarily threw it to a colander from the brine, season with mayonnaise, taste salt and mix.

Salad "Olivier" with smoked sausage and ham - recipe

Ingredients:

Preparation

Pre-washed and boiled potatoes and carrots are cleaned and cut into small cubes. Eggs boil hard, we get rid of the shell and shinkui similarly. Now grind low-fat ham and smoked sausage, after cleaning it, finely chop the onion and pickled cucumbers.

Determine all the prepared ingredients in a deep bowl, add canned peas, mayonnaise and salt and mix. You can also mix chopped parsley in a salad or simply decorate it with a dish when serving.
