Organic products

Now the countries of the European Union and the USA have been flooded with a wave of specialized shops, in which all products cost several times more than conventional ones, but they are in demand. These are organic food products, or bioproducts, which are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, growth stimulants, and most importantly - without GMOs (genetically modified organisms). With the same enthusiasm with which a couple of decades of agronomists brought out supplements to simplify the cultivation of agricultural products, today they prove that natural products still could not be replaced, and only them can be considered safe.

What does organic food mean?

As we have already explained, organic products can not be hybrids, genetically "improved" plants or grown with chemical additives. This is a completely natural product that nature has given us.

If the organic product requires processing before selling, then only the most harmless and natural methods operate here. For example, refining, the addition of flavors, colorants, stabilizers, flavor enhancers is prohibited (except for those specified by the standards).

It should be noted that the yield of natural organic products is lower, and care for plants is much more difficult. This is what determines the high cost of such products.

Are products of organic origin useful?

Surprisingly, despite the huge popularity of organic products, no studies have yet been conducted that specifically indicate the benefits brought to the human body by such nutrition. There is also no evidence that there is a difference in nutritional value between similar products grown organically and not organically. The fact is that taking with the usual products chemicals with small dosages, a person does not feel any negative influence. It occurs too gradually and unnoticed, and can only be manifested in the old age, when the body as a whole is weakened. That's why we need very large-scale studies that take decades - otherwise it will simply be impossible to talk about objective results.

However, smokers also do not initially experience discomfort, and only after many years can there be cancer or heart disease. This gives hope that research will be conducted that will help to identify the impact of products on health and life expectancy. Indeed, in our days even a person who eats properly, eating lots of vegetables and fruits, runs the risk of spoiling his health if he gets a product from an unreliable supplier.

Organic products "for" and "against"

Despite the fact that bioproducts claim to be completely clean from additives and chemicals, studies have established that they retain up to 30% of pesticides (in comparison with their content in conventional products). However, this is not a general rule. About a third of all organic products are really free of additives completely. In addition, it is necessary to distinguish between chemical pesticides and organic, created on the basis of plant components.

In other words, if you have the opportunity to buy the products grown by the grandmother in the village - they will obviously win in the face of organic products of industrial production. However, if there is no such possibility, at least to some extent, they can be replaced by bio products.
