Patchwork made of old jeans

Do not rush to throw worn jeans pants and shirts : they can still come in handy! We suggest that you learn about how to make a beautiful veil from your old jeans.

Master-class "Bedspread patchwork from old jeans"

Progress:

  1. Cut an even number of identical sized circles from different jeans.
  2. Using a paper or cardboard pattern, on the wrong side of the fabric, draw a circle inscribed in the circle.
  3. Fold the two circles together with the wrong sides outward and stitch them on the typewriter along the drawn line of one of the sides of the square. Make sure that these lines match for both circles.
  4. In the same way, sew pairs of circles together. As you can see, from the outlined semicircles you get a kind of jeans "flower".
  5. Now cut out from any other fabric squares that are slightly smaller than your cardboard pattern. They should be the same as jeans circles.
  6. To connect elements from old jeans with squares of striped fabric into a single patchwork sewing, stitch each of them twice - first along, and then across, straight in the center.
  7. The edges of the "petals" are stitched to the base with a zigzag stitch.
  8. That's how the purl side of jeans flaps has become the face of a pretty plaid in the patchwork technique.

You can sew a product of any length and width, focusing both on the number of available old jeans, and on the dimensions of the sofa for which the veil is intended. A pillow, made in the same way, will complement this wonderful hand-made kit.
