How to make a protein bar at home?
Delicious and nutritious home-made protein bars are prepared in two ways - with baking in the oven and without heat treatment.
The easiest way to make a protein bar with your own hands is to mix the ingredients, form a mass and remove it for freezing into the refrigerator. Act in this case, you need this way:
- first you need to pick up components - protein powder, flour (any that you can eat raw - coconut or almond, for example), milk (cow, coconut), filler (honey, nuts, coconut chips), chocolate ;
- then the selected flour should be mixed with protein and add milk, the proportions should be selected so that the mass is sufficiently thick;
- then fillers are added to the semi-finished product;
- ready-made mass for bars should be formed, dipped in melted chocolate and put in a cool place for hardening.
However, this simple method of making a protein snack has one serious drawback: it is almost impossible to carry a finished product, especially in warm weather - the bar melts. For such cases, you can bake a protein bar.
The recipe for such a bar is also desirable, based on your own taste. For a basis it is possible to take oat flakes, a flour, a dry milk, in a basis it is necessary to add 2-4 dimensional spoons of a protein . Then water and eggs are added. You can add honey, maple syrup, flax seeds or sesame seeds, mashed banana, dried fruits. Bake the mixture in the oven on parchment, forming sausages or one layer, which is then cut into single portions.
