Roche-de-Ne is one of the easiest and best known peaks above the Lake Geneva , which can be reached from Montreux by the crooked railway on the Golden Pass train. The road to the top takes a little less than an hour, the train goes slowly, and during this time you will have time to enjoy the changing landscapes in full. From the top of Roche-de-Né, a wonderful view of the Lake Geneva, the Chillon Castle and, of course, the Alps.

If you took a visit to Roche-de-Né all day, then be sure to visit the marmot park, where there are several rare species that you can not only see but also feed with sweet carrots. Near the park there is a restaurant serving Swiss cuisine, and on its territory a special house has been built, from which it will be convenient to watch these amusing rodents.
Between the two peaks is the alpine garden La Rambertia, in which about 1000 species of Alpine plants and flowers are collected. Perhaps, sophisticated flora lovers are not very impressed with these modest plants, but just think about how much it cost the organizers to place these flowers in one place and how miraculously the presented plants survive in such difficult mountain conditions.
How to get there?
From Montreux you can reach the Golden Pass train, which leaves every hour. By the way, the last train from the top of Roche-de-Nie departs at 18.46, which practically in all languages is spoken by a signboard. If for some reason you did not have time on the last train or specially planned a night in the mountains, then you can spend the night in comfortable conditions in yurts on the top of the mountain.
