As a rule, these diseases result from non-observance of hygiene of the genitals, frequent changes in the sexual partner, traumatic injuries, abortions, etc.
Another cause of swelling and pain of the labia may be bartholinitis. Due to the actions of various infectious agents, the Bartholin glands are blocked, which are located on each of the labia. This leads to a tightening in place of their location and strong pain during and after sex.
