Fibrous changes in the mammary glands

The mammary gland in women undergoes some changes throughout life. This is due to the influence of hormones on the tissue and the presence of gynecological diseases. In the normal state, the glandular tissue predominates in the mammary gland, alternating with the connective or fibrous tissue. Approximately half of women from 20 to 50 years experience the growth of connective tissue and the formation of seals in the chest. Such fibrotic changes in the mammary glands are called mastopathy and are often not seen even when examined by a doctor.

Symptoms of the disease

They appear most often in the second phase of the cycle. Moderate fibrous changes in the mammary gland very often do not manifest themselves. But having noticed some signs of mastopathy, it is worthwhile to see a doctor, because this disease can be a harbinger of a cancerous tumor.

Another type of mastopathy is fibrocystic breast changes. The cyst is a rounded shape that is not associated with fiber. It does not disappear, but it can increase during the cycle.

Treatment of fibrotic changes

In the presence of this disease, even if it does not bother the woman with pain, it is necessary to undergo treatment. Without this, cysts and fibrotic changes can develop into cancerous tumors. Treatment consists in bringing the hormonal background of a woman back to normal and following a diet. From the diet should be excluded from coffee, cocoa and tea, fatty and smoked products. In the case of large formations in the chest, they are surgically removed.
