Tylosin treats bronchitis and pneumonia, mastitis , arthritis, dysentery, secondary infections during viral diseases. The solution is administered exclusively intramuscularly once a day. The drug is applied within 3-5 days.
For cats, the recommended dosage of Tylosin is:
- Tonsilon 50 0.1-0.2 ml;
- Tonsilon 200 - 0.025-0.05 ml.
Often the calculation of the dose is made by comparing the body weight of the animal and the volume of the preparation. So, cats are supposed to inject 2-10 mg per kilogram of body weight at a time.
After administration, the drug is quickly resorbed, the maximum concentration in the body reaches about an hour later, and the therapeutic effect of it persists for 20-24 hours.

It is not recommended to use Tylosin concurrently with levomycetin, tiamulin, penicillins, clindamycin, lincomycin and cephalosporins, since in this case the effectiveness of tylosin decreases.
