Veganism is good and bad

Most vegetarians are calm about products of animal origin (eggs, milk and dairy products, honey), but some of them limit themselves also in this - they are called in vegan.

Scientists have not yet come to a consensus on the benefits and harms of veganism. The difficulty lies also in the fact that this diet has quite different tolerability for each individual.

Pros of veganism

Among the main advantages of veganism, it is emphasized that this type of food reduces the risk of developing a large intestine tumor.

Lowered in nutrition, the level of fats and cholesterol affects the fact that vegans in much less suffer from strokes, heart attacks and problems with excess weight.

The presence in the diet of only vegetables and fruits increases the amount of antioxidants entering the body, which enhances the protective properties of the immune system.

Harm to veganism

The main harm of veganism is that there is a big risk of improper dietary intake. Thus, together with the exclusion of products of animal origin, man excludes the whole set of necessary useful substances that must be found in the products of vegetation.

It often happens that over time vegans begin to experience a lack of vitamin B12, calcium, iron, zinc. This leads to rather disastrous consequences for the whole organism.

Should I switch to veganism?

For some, the pluses and minuses of veganism seem equivalent, or even the positive consequences of veganism will outweigh the balance. But it is worth remembering that your diet will have to be carefully planned, vitamin supplements will be taken, food will become monotonous.

It is worthwhile to pass only if this choice is principled for you, and you are ready to radically change your way of life .
